The Home Management screen is the initial screen displayed when you touch
the screen. From here you can select which subsystem to control or perhaps
a house-wide change through the living moods option.
The navigational features of this sample screen and the others are functional, i.e.
you can move back and forth between control screens just like you would on a real HMS.
Currently, all the buttons except the Theater button take you further into the sample screens.
The sample Theater screen should be available shortly.
Keep in mind that while you are using a mouse to navigate these screens,
an HMS installed in your home would use touchscreens for display and your
finger for control.
Place the cursor over any screen element to read a description of its purpose.

We are very interested in hearing your opinion about the cursor rollover and popup
method of presenting the above screen element descriptions.
Does it work for you?
Does it drive you crazy?
Do you have any suggestions to improve it?
(Please keep in mind this is not how the actual HMS works. It is only done here on
the website to show how sample HMS screens appear and explain how they work.)
The screen title indicates the name of the subsystem you can control from this screen.
The Back button returns you to the previous screen, up one level in the menu structure.
Click on the Back button to return to the HMS dormant screen.
Note: This is not the same as your browser's back button. This button operates within the context of
the HMS screens.
The Quit button ends your management session, logs you out, and changes the display to
a dormant screen (similar to a screen saver) displaying the artwork or photo of your
choice.
Click on the Quit button to return to the HMS dormant screen.
Living moods provide quick access to house-wide "scenes" which may change one or all
the home's subsystems. For example: play jazz in the foyer, dining and living rooms and outside,
landscape lighting around all outdoor paths, turn the fountains on, turn off the security
system's door chimes — all in preparation for an evening party.
We will soon be adding a sample living mood screen with more detailed explanations.
Click on the Living Moods button to learn about the power of these
house-wide scenes.
From the audio/video screens, you can select which audio/video programs play in
one or more areas through a simple drag and drop interface.
We will soon be adding a sample audio/video screen with more detailed explanations.
Click on the Audio/Video button to see how easy it is to enjoy your favorite audio/video
programming with a Home Management System.
The theater screen provides user-friendly control of all major features of your
home theater including drapes, projector, screen, program selection, lighting, and
environmental. The theater is a complicated room to control and can be intimidating
for many non-technical family members. ESC takes great pride in making one of your
home's greatest features easily accessible to all.
We will soon be adding a sample theater screen with more detailed explanations.
Click on the Theater button if you wish to be notified when the new screens are available.
From the security screen, you can tell at a glance the status of your home's
security, arm or disarm the system, enable or disable interior security sensors,
view security cameras or display a log of all security events that occured.
Click on the Security button to see the many additional benefits an ESC Home
Management System adds to your home's security systems and your family's protection.
From the environmental screen you can control the subsystems that make living in
your home comfortable. The environmental screen displays room and outdoor temperatures
and provides control of temperature, humidity, and occupancy modes throughout the home.
Click on the Environmental button to experience the simplicity of controlling
your home's environment through a Home Management System.
The convenience features screen provides a catch-all location for features in your
home outside of the major subsystems. Features that have been placed under
convenience features before include door locks, spas, snow melt systems, blinds
and drapes, and fountains.
Click on the Convenience Features button to see how easy it is to manage a
wide variety of systems and devices.
The whole house features screen typically provides control and configuration of
the HMS and access to a vacation mode and a random lighting mode for your home.
We will soon be adding a sample whole house features screen with more detailed explanations.
Click on the Whole House Features button to view a typical Whole House Features management screen.
